Don't Make Weird Faces

by Bruce Lansky

Don’t make weird faces.
Your face might get stuck.
Then, the rest of your life
you will be out of luck.
You’ll look like
a weirdo, a goof, or a geek.
Instead of being normal,
you’ll look like a freak—
a freak at the circus
or at the state fair.
People will line up
to point and to stare.
So, don’t make weird faces.
It’s so very dumb.
You’ll look like a freak
and you’ll live like a bum.
