Bruce Lansky, “The King of Giggle Poetry,” visited Ashley Elementary School in New Baltimore, MI on February 23rd – 24th, 2009. Here are some of the fun poems they wrote together…

A poem by Mrs. Koch’s and Mrs. Dieterman’s classes:

I Wish My Brother Wouldn’t

I wish my brother wouldn’t wrestle me because when we roll around on the floor, the dog jumps on top.
I wish my brother wouldn’t sleep with my teddy bear because I can’t sleep without it.
I wish my brother wouldn’t eat my homework unless he shares it with the dog.
I wish my brother wouldn’t hog the computer because I want to read about Fergie on Wikipedia.
I wish my brother wouldn’t watch TV because he sits there with his mouth open and bugs

fly in.
I wish my brother wouldn’t spend hours licking postage stamps.
But I know he loves me when he lets me play with his toys or helps me with video games.
