Vanessa Eats Paste

by Dave Crawley
Vanessa eats paste.
I just saw her chew it.
She must like the taste,
or why would she do it?

She opened the jar
and reached down inside it.
It does seem bizarre,
though I’ve never tried it.

I asked her if she
was some kind of a nut,
but she couldn’t talk
with her jaw pasted shut.
