The Summer Hater
There once was a person named Paul,
Who didn’t like summer at all.
"I’m not going out,"
He’d sit there and pout,
And then he’d hibernate until fall.
—Daniel Wong, Grade 6

Old Lady of France
There was an old lady from France,
She looked like a man at first glance.
She needed a shave,
Her nickname was Dave,
So no one gave her a chance.
—Sam Yambrovitch, Grade 6

A Lady Named June
There was a young lady named June
Who cleaned out her ears with a spoon
When one dark night
She lost it—that’s right!
So now she uses a broom.
—Tilly Fraser, Grade 6
